How do I earn prize tokens?

All eligible participants who submit a game before the deadline on Sunday, April 6th will be entered into a raffle. The more game elements you include in your game the more prize tokens you will earn for the challenge raffles. You can also earn prize tokens by attending one of our weekly workshops or virtual hours.

When is the raffle?

We will feature your game at the Citywide Code It! Challenge showcase on Saturday, April 12th. The showcase will celebrate all participants and show off the amazing work you’ve done. All entrants who qualify and show-up at the Showcase will also receive a
PyBadge Game Device. We will also draw for the Raffle Prizes at the end of the showcase.

Attend a Weekly Workshop	1 Prize Token (for each session)
Submit your Game Plan	1 Prize Token
Share your Sprite/Character	1 Prize Token
Share your Level Design	1 Prize Token
Get Feedback from a Friend	1 Prize Token
Submit a rough draft of your game	1 Prize Token
Submit a game with 10 Game Elements	4 Prize Token
Submit a game with 15 Game Elements	6 Prize Tokens
Submit a game with 20 Game Elements	8 Prize Tokens

How many prize tokens do I have?

Check out the Prize Token Scoreboard to see how many prize tokens you have earned so far.

It takes us a couple of days to review all the submissions we receive, so if you don’t see a token for something you just submitted, give a few days to update the board. If you still don’t see your token, please contact us to double check.

What are the prizes?

We will draw all the raffle winners during the showcase event on April 12th, 2025. The more prize tokens you earn the greater your chance of winning a better prize.
